| Position Description: |
The Associate Director will provide strategic vision and leadership for the Cancer Center's population health and cancer control initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on reducing the cancer burden in Mississippi, a state with some of the highest cancer rates in the nation. The successful candidate will hold a joint appointment as Associate Director within the Cancer Center and Research Institute and a tenured or tenure-track faculty position commensurate with their experience within the John D. Bower School of Population Health at UMMC.

| Qualifications: |
Doctoral degree (PhD preferred) in Population Health, Public Health, Epidemiology, Cancer Biology, or a closely related field. ? Demonstrated expertise in population health and cancer control research. ? Strong record of securing extramural funding from federal agencies (NCI, CDC) or other prestigious organizations. ? Experience in leading and collaborating with multi-disciplinary research teams. ? Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. ? A passion for reducing cancer disparities and improving health outcomes in underserved populations.
